About Matt
Husband. Dog Dad. Runner.
I'm a simple guy: I love spending time with my wife and dog, learning new things, tackling fitness challenges, and tasting my way through all the pizza Portland, Oregon has to offer. I make short films in my spare time — and you might catch me on stage or screen now and again.

Plot Twist: Actor Becomes Developer
I started out as a trained actor, balancing scripts and side-hustles as I built my career in New York City. Like many of us, the pandemic pushed me to pivot. My wife and I relocated to Walla Walla, Washington, where I leveraged experience managing social media and content marketing campaigns to lead marketing for a well-known winery—and unexpectedly fell in love with digital product design.
I've worked in small agencies, freelanced as a copywriter, managed social media accounts, set up email marketing automations, and navigated the messiness of plugins, integrations, and client funnels. I know the frustration of tools that don't work—and the relief when they finally do.
That's what I bring to the table: a clear process, marketing-savvy thinking, and modern design and development skills. Whether you need a beautiful brochure site or a custom build with thoughtful integrations, I help small businesses and creative teams create websites that actually work—not just look good.
What Makes Me Different
"Lots of freelancers promise pretty websites. I go deeper."
Here's how I stand out:
- Hybrid skill set: Designer and modern frontend developer
- Built for the real world: I understand marketing tools, email automation, and platform quirks
- Smart tech decisions: Custom code where it counts, intuitive CMS where it matters
- Form + function: You get both polish and performance
- Clear process: Transparency, client education, and support from start to finish
I've been on both sides of the screen — building and marketing small businesses.
Still a Creative at Heart
While I build websites professionally, I still act, write, and direct for fun. (Yes, I'll probably be working on a short film this year.)
I share blog posts on:
- Small business marketing & digital strategy
- Creative process & web design insights
- Life updates & things I'm learning
A Few Personal Things
I live in Portland, Oregon—but I bring a New York City hustle and L.A. chill to everything I do.
When I'm not designing or building, you can find me:
- Running city trails
- Throwing frisbee with my dog
- Sipping a cup of craft coffee
- Traveling (ideally somewhere with strong espresso and Wi-Fi)
